Mike grew up learning the trades by working through high school and college building homes. This hands-on experience is illustrated in Mike’s simple, clear and well-crafted documents. These accurate and clearly-crafted documents, coupled with innovative design skills, have resulted in ongoing referrals from owners, contractors, engineers, truss manufacturers, building inspectors and even other architects.

Over the past several years, Mike has developed a consistent “word of mouth” architectural practice. Mike is a problem solver and specialist in wood frame design and detailing. He concentrates not only on new homes, residential additions and renovations but also designs wood frame, lodge-style office buildings; including the interior design and tenant finish projects. Millwork design is also a specialty, creating kitchen, bath and basement finish design work that will set your project apart from the rest.

Mike is a Licensed Architect and a practicing member of the American Institute of Architects; for the past several years he has participated in AIA steering committee forums on wood frame design.

The overarching goal of our practice is to make the design experience as convenient and productive for you as possible. Weekend and evening appointments are typical. If we can gain insight into how you live and/or work today, we can better understand how to design space to facilitate your future goals.

We utilize the latest software, and can provide two and three dimensional renderings and animations. From these, you will know what you are building prior to construction. Mike routinely communicates in a collaborative environment with CADD files, PDF files, and AVI files, all transferable via email. He’ll personally and promptly return your inquiry, answering your questions from the initial stages of conceptual design all the way through construction.
